Self is inspired by the notion of dreams and the mindscape of the artist’s search for identity at the age of 19, standing at the crossroads of her life as she experiences growth in her unique way. The artwork depicts diverging roads and paths as a state of being in a space towards a multitude of possibilities, as she seeks her sense of self and individuality in this vast, big world.

Self is the winner of the 2022 UOB Painting of the Year Highly Commended Award, Emerging Artist Category, Singapore.
