Comments from the artist

“Deja vu” represents the interplay between memories of the places we have been and people we have met within the brain. The illustrations signify the dense collection of memories we have stored over our lifetimes. Within this dreamscape, the rules of physics do not apply and our childhood toys soar in the sky with the plane we took for our summer trip! The overall work takes the form of a brain MRI scan, juxtaposing the physical biology of the brain with the imagination we cannot see with our plain eye.
